My name is Becka and I am an entrepreneur, enthusiast with a passion about merging todays social media with the good ol’ rolodex. Now I understand that I am NOT the only slick professional that is starting a new blog or running a side business that focuses on social media. The goal here is to share my insight on how the world wide web (WWW) can work for you, opinion(s) on what does and doesn’t work, opportunities that may capture your targeted audience and MUCH more. My hope is that my readers can take these bits of information and utilize these resources as a catlyst to their own professional career.
8 Years of Marketing Experience
During my 8 years of marketing, I have worked with some of the most elite professionals and teams ranging from real estate, banking, tech and entrepreneurs. It has been an exciting ride. There is nothing more that I love other than helping others and seeing them succeed - and marketing gives me that opportunity.
After working with countless individuals and listening to their “pain points” and frustrations, so many have asked me the same question… “Becka, what really works??” My answer is always the same…drumroll please…consistency.
Consistency is where you will always see results no matter what you are doing in life. Stay tuned for more of where that came from.

My approach to marketing I believe is different…I bet you haven’t heard that one before!
My approach to marketing is TARGETED. Targeting your audience and truly speaking their language and approaching them in a way that relates is key. You have to take the sales out of SALES and get personable. You have to speak their language. You have to walk their walk.
In college, I actually started off as a business major and switched half-way through to communications. To my surprise I actually got better grades and to the extent even enjoyed the classes. I didn’t really know what communications was and how it could be a major in college. It didn’t seem that serious. How hard can it be to communicate? Isn’t is black or white? Far from it…There are such an array of approaches, theories and concepts out there that I learned and am still learning to this day.
Having said that, there are so many trends, outlets, channels, avenues, etc. that a professional can partake in to grow their business. Through this blog, I hope my readers and followers can find some good takeaways, learn something new and share success secrets with other professionals.
